The API is not reachable

The server-side verification does not reach the endpoint, or the widget does not get a challenge.

Cause

The API of Myra EU CAPTCHA is temporarily not reachable.

Behaviour

If the widget does not get a challenge, it shows the Verification failed message, makes no token, and calls the function from the data-error-callback attribute. The server-side verification decides if the form is accepted all the same. The SDKs for PHP, Ruby, and Django let the transmission through by default if they do not reach the API (setting failDefault, fail_default, or default_result_on_error). The forms then stay available to visitors. The protection is not effective.

Solution

  • ► Examine if your server reaches the cdn.eu-captcha.eu and api.eu-captcha.eu addresses.
  • ► Examine the rules of your firewall for outgoing connections.
  • ► If the addresses are reachable and the error continues, speak to the support.
